Tuesday started out sleepy until the coffee started to brew and the sky turned into intersecting shades of red, purple, orange and blue. Funny how the senses can make all the difference, and wake you right up. And now, with a huge to-do list in front of me, I’m finding solace and motivation in a cup of mint tea from World Market, some fresh fruit and peanut butter, and of course, Today’s Top 5 Music Obsessions.
Song 1 is a collaboration I did not know about (thank you, Spotify Discover Weekly). Eno + Hyde’s “Daddy’s Car” is a little bit Jazzy, a little bit Electronic, and a lot of good listening. Next up is “The Beat(en) Generation” by The The. I tend to forget about The The when I’m foraging around in Music from my past, and then they pop up and I remember how much I love their Sound and Style (also, Mind Bomb is probably my fave Album of theirs). Song 3 is “Serenade” from The Duke Spirit which is part of a writing Playlist I’m compiling to get back to working on my Novel (breaks over, baby). “God Only Knows”, quite possibly my favorite Beach Boys Song is Track 4, which weaves itself into the last Song today, “Shine On” by The House Of Love.
Are you ready for this Tuesday’s Top 5? What Songs would you add to Today’s list?
