My Top 5 Music Obsessions of the Day Today begins with a New Discovery Song, Postscript's "Dear Marie", which is a Sweet and Simple Indie Folk Delight. Next up is another chapter in the seemingly endless Stories that Paul Weller has penned, and sung. This one was part of a Weller Wednesday listen last night, and I have had it swirling around in my head ever since. Hope Sandoval And The Warm Inventions encircle our ears, and the spaces between with the Sultry Sounds of "Salt of the Sea". Leslie Feist and (Uncle) Jarvis Cocker surprised me with a duet which a fellow writer/Music obsessor shared with me today. We close the circle of Top 5 Songs with Iron & Wine's take on a Cyndi Lauper hit, which leaves behind a feeling of mellow-hope, which is just what is needed on a very busy, and a very tired, Friday-Eve.
