176. The Great Gatsby The book itself is my most re-read book ever, re-reading it something I do ever few years, so when I heard Baz Luhrmann (a favorite filmmaker of mine) was making a new version, I was beyond excited. 141. Foxfire There are moments in this movie where I find myself wishing I had had this group of girls as my friends back when I was an adolescent, their spirit, their strength, and the options they find, I wish I’d had some of them. There is sadness, too, and that mystery that falling for the perception you have of someone can bring, and the inevitable fall when the perception cracks with the weight of reality.
