“Above the Terra” :: Downtime Survivors :: Now Hear This
Welcome Weller Wednesday, its nice to see you all here again to hear the Best of Paul Weller This Week. This Weller Wednesday we are taking a listen to one of two new Tracks that were released recently to keep us all satisfied (or more full of anticipation) for the New Weller Album that’s coming soon – A Kind of Revolution. While we wait (im)patiently for the New Album let’s sit back and enjoy the Best of Paul Weller This Week with the Track “Long, Long Road”.
The Best Tracks for this First Wednesday of April breezes in with today’s Top 5 Music Obsessions of the Day, all fresh and ready for your listening pleasure. It starts off with a lovely lush number from the duo Dean & Britta (pictured above). Next up is a haunting “Haunted Jukebox” from Saint Etienne. An older Track from Paul Weller joins in just in time for Weller Wednesday, with “No Tears to Cry”. One of my Favorites from Air (see other Best Air Tracks here), recorded, and featured in the Sofia Coppola’s film, The Virgin Suicides. The Best Songs for Wednesday Top 5 comes to an end with a addictive cover from the wonderful Nouvelle Vague, this time taking on a lesser known Depeche Mode Song, one of my Favorites – “In a Manner of Speaking”.
Monday’s require a bit more than 5 Best Songs. Monday’s require a little extra something to keep us going, to light our fires, to kick that productivity in. Monday’s require a 30 Song Audio slam to ignite everything inside us. This is Monday’s arsenal for the First Monday of April. This is Monday’s Playlist – Turn up the Volume to Red.
