Let's Throwback Thursday to 1983-84, with Duran Duran and one of my favorite songs of theirs, "New Moon On Monday".
Today's Song of the Day is "Love is a Stranger" from the Eurythmics, track one from their quintessential 1983 album, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). Let's hear if for another awesome Woman in Music from the '80s - Annie Lennox!
Today's Song of the Day is "Outside the Rain" by Stevie Nicks, off of her 1981 album, Bella Donna - continuing the August Song of the Day theme of Women in Music from the '80s.
Today's Woman in Music from the '80s Song of the Day is "Metro", by Berlin (and the fabulous Terri Nunn)
Roq of the 80's - Flashback 500 - 485-481 featuring songs by Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, The Flirts, Midnight Oil, and Ian Dury and the Blockheads.
Roq of the 80’s Top 500 - 490-486 - featuring songs by The Cure, The The, LAX, Madness, and INXS.
Roq of the 80's Flasback 500 features songs from Pet Shop Boys, The Specials, Gary Numan, The Dream Academy, and Front 242.
Growing up, the place to see a movie was the Cinedome 20 in Orange. Every big movie I saw as a young girl, adolescent, and even into my twenties was at this theater. I stood in line for hours for many a new release, actually stood in the aisle for some of them (they didn't pay much attention to capacity laws), and did my fair share of movie-hopping, especially in my teen years, often spending a weekend day there trying to see as many movies as I could.
