Put on that red dress and silence your demons

Two days in and the sun is rising in the sky. It is still too warm to be October, at least not the October I create in my mind. Days like this I miss the Midwest. I’d like to spend the month back in Wisconsin, in Steven’s Point, where my son is at university. The downtown had the kind of feel I love, and as the leaves go brown and the air cools, I imagine the magic arriving. For now, I’ll sip my coffee and play some tunes, close my eyes and dream up a forest with witches and chocolate trees, lit up pumpkins carved with a smile, and a mist full of mystery swirling around me as I sing-a-long. Care to join me?
