There are 31 days in October, my favorite month. The onset of Autumn, coffee and warm things, a sweater wrapping around your shoulders. The catharsis of letting go, dried leaves and memories, making way for something fresh and new. I sleep less as I grasp for shells in the wet sand, clutching the cold salty sting, screaming out dreams into the waves. Let’s all sing out all the pain and desire. It’s almost time to start again.
