Day two of September’s Top 5 Music Obsessions. Today is a bank holiday which means no schedules to follow, no set time to wake up, and not as many “have-to” lists. Mondays are usually full to the brim with “have to” lists, so today is an appreciated retreat from lists and clocks and schedules.
Today’s obligations are good ones. A classic movie with my Mom. Time spent with my family. Something new to try cooking for dinner with my oldest daughter. Some exercise and meditation and a few chapters in one of the memoirs I’m reading. Oh, and some time spent working on my own.
Now that I look at that, it does seem like a lot of “have to” and schedules and such. The difference is that all of the above are things I love to do, so that takes away the “have to” from it all, replacing it with “love to”. Yes, I even love exercise. Especially when I have a killer, slay-worthy soundtrack to go with it.
