It could be due to the hours of piano lessons and practice I endured, or the way it sounded when my Mother’s fingers danced across the keys. Is it exposure at such a young age that endures in me? I don’t know. I mean, my Mother played her acoustic guitar often, too, and we always had Music playing in our home (the one real blessing in an otherwise dysfunctional space).
All I know for sure is when I hit play this morning on Angel Obel’s Song “Arches”, and I heard the piano at about the mid-way mark, I could feel my heart lift and float around inside me, and yes, I feel soothed.
