One of my favorite bands from the 90’s is Belly, which features Tanya Donelly, brothers Tom and Chris Gorman, and Gail Greenwood. I am over the moon excited that Belly has a new Album coming out in 2018 and that they will be touring, too (tickets went on sale TODAY).
Pledge Music is featuring various packages you can pre-order for Belly’s upcoming Album Dove. Packages include Vinyl, CD, posters, t-shirts, signed lyric sheets, and hats. I’ve ordered mine and am counting down the days ’til it arrives sometime in May.
A portion of all profits will go towards hurricane relief in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

1. What music, or other art forms, inspire you when you create your art?
Landscape photography, good design, painting, jazz, classical and classic country music….
2. Long distance road trip: what 3 people do you invite along? Fictional or non-fictional, dead or alive all count.
Hunter S. Thompson, Gore Vidal & Woody Guthrie
3. What is your favorite breakfast cereal?
Hmmmmm…. a flat white (or three), but if it has to be a ‘cereal’ I guess steel-cut oatmeal with dried cherries, pecans and a little maple syrup.
4. What is one thing that is hanging on your bedroom wall?
A beautiful to look at, but painfully unplayable robin’s-egg-blue-with-tortoiseshell-pickguard Fender Mustang.
5. What smell/scent evoke strong memories for you?
The smell of the gas/oil mixture old mopeds run on- it makes me think of when I went to France on exchange when I was 14.
6. Coffee or tea?
I alternate, but on tour it’s copious amounts of both….
7. What is the most impactful compliment, or criticism, you have ever received?
I think the best musical compliment I’ve ever gotten was from Belly-bandmate Gail- she said once that my solos ‘were like little stories.’
8. What are 3 words that describe you?
handy, insomniac, perfectionist…
9. What is, or was your cartoon crush?
Speed Racer.
10. The world is ending in 10 minutes and you get to listen to only one song – which song do you pick?
As much of Saint-Saëns’ Symphony #3 as there’s time for.
