I have that Monday feeling, a little overwhelmed, a little excitement, and a big dose of motivation. I woke up tired, insomnia an unwanted companion lately, but I pulled myself out of the haze with a hot shower, strong coffee, and Music played Loudly. I’m ready for anything now. How about you?
Opening up and Pressing Play to today’s Top 5 Music Obsessions of the Day. Let’s start with Track 1 which is a New Discovery Song and Artist (thank you, Spotify Discover Weekly). “Freakshow” by Ghostpoet has me addicted. Honestly, I keep hitting repeat on this one. “Drive” by R.E.M. is next, inspired by my Monday morning commute. This Song has been driving around my head all morning. Metric’s “Help I’m Alive” is Song 3. I’d not heard this one in years. When it came on randomly via Pandora this morning I was excited to hear it and Sing-A-Long. “Dreams Tonite” from Alvvays comes on in Dream-Pop fashion. This Song seems like the perfect antidote to a case of the Mondays. Its soothing, catchy, and really pretty to hear. Last, but not least, is my latest Song Obsession from Big Thief. I’m really digging “Mythological Beauty” today.
