Thursday’s Top 5 Music Obsessions are all of the Indie Dreamy Electro variety because I’m feeling a mixture of bliss and sleepiness, and these are just the kind of sounds I want to hear today.
Song 1 is “Party Police” by Alvvays, a Song my daughter has on a Playlist that she often plays in the car. It led me to delve more into Alvvays Music, which I’ve been enjoying quite a lot. Next up is The National, one of my Favorite Bands, and one of my Favorite Songs of theirs. Someday I want to take 5 of their Songs and write a short story for each one. The storytelling in the songwriting is so unique and so visual, and I find it so inspiring to listen to it. I’d like to see where the Songs take me. The Postal Service has been in heavy rotation all day today, so I had to include a Song from it. A new favorite from an Album I love is “Recycled Air”, which is Track 3 today. Brian Eno is up next with “By This River”, which flows right into “Naked As We Came”, by Iron And Wine – ending this lovely Top 5 just perfectly.
