One day into the New Year. How is everyone feeling? Are you sticking to those New Year’s Resolutions? What Music is filling this first week of 2018? Do you have any current Music Obsessions?
Today mine start out with The Clash’s Quintessential Hit that got a shot of new life with its inclusion in Netflix’s Hit Series, “Stranger Things”. Next up is one of my Favorite Lou Reed Songs from the 1972 Album he co-wrote/produced with David Bowie, Transformer. Song number three is one of two Cover Songs in Today’s roundup of Music Obsessions, the first from Gillian Welch. Her Cover of Radiohead’s “Black Star”. Laura Marling’s cover of Bob Dylan’s “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” follows, and it all ends for the day with The Kinks seminal Hit, “Sunny Afternoon”.
Are you ready for today’s Top 5? What Songs would you add to Today’s list?
