Tuesday is upon us and with it comes a day with less stress than Monday had. Today has felt productive, and full of a few new challenges and goals on the creative side of things. The day is beautiful outside, and welcoming, as Fall begins to slowly creep in. Optimism weaves through today just as these 5 songs do, making everything seem palpable and rewarding. Those 5 songs? The Top 5 Music Obsessions starts off with “Eloise” from the fantastic JD King. If you are in the Los Angeles area next month (October 19) JD will be playing live at the debut night of Stereo 8, LA’s first 8-Track Club. Next up is “Gypsy”, one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs. “Spooky” from Dusty Springfield and “Clean Up Woman” from Betty Wright come in next, and then Portishead ties it all up with my favorite track of theirs, “Roads”.
