Monday Playlists Header

This Week’s Monday Playlist is inspired by Frank and Ava, and this fading photograph that seems stolen, unposed, and vulnerable. It reminds me of photographs that lay most days/months/years in boxes, uncovered and left behind, until the lid is lifted, or a photo falls out, and the memories flicker like a movie. We remember.

Music is like those photos, triggering past stories of time and place, and of love and loss. I think music is stronger than any image could ever be. It stirs up the insides and awakens our muscle memory. Blood flows into a beat-beat pulse as our temperature rises. And then the pictures in our minds begin, both clearer and blurrier than any photograph could ever be.

It is all those thoughts that helped shape the sounds of this week’s playlist. Go on and enjoy these 30 songs, and if they unlock anything boxed up and put away, I hope the visit into yesterday is a good one.

These 30 Songs can be found and listened to on Spotify or YouTube, or by Pressing Play on the YouTube Playlist at the end of this post.

    1. Yes. I realized awhile back that having it on YouTube made it easier for a lot of people to listen – and its fun to be able to stream right from the blog.
