Monday’s Top 5 Music Obsessions is made up of an eclectic mix of old and new, familiar and introductory, and ready-to-play Songs that all have a bit of an edge. We need all the edge we can get on a Monday, don’t you think? At least I know I do – especially since this Monday marks the start of a new job for me.
So, here’s what’s we have for Today’s Top 5 Music Obsessions…
The Killers, starting us off with a “wonderful” track from their newly released album, Wonderful Wonderful. Del Shannon is up next, taking us back to the past with his timeless hit, “Runaway”, a song that was featured in the 1973 film, American Graffiti. Nancy Sinatra gives us a musical gun to carry for track 3, with my favorite song of hers, “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)”. “Needles and Pins” a Searchers cover by the Ramones takes us to Song 4., and then it all ends (or begins) with the hauntingly gorgeous, and edgy, “What Kind of Man“, from the vocally haunting, gorgeous and edgy, Florence (Welch) And The Machine.
Are you ready to Press Play and start your Monday off with an edge and a bang?
