“ONE TEAR” :: PAUL WELLER, FEATURING BOY GEORGE
from the Album, A Kind Revolution
“No Song can ever say.
One tear can say it all.”
“One Tear” is Track 8 on Paul Weller’s Latest Released Album, A Kind Revolution. It is a Track he Recorded with Boy George. The Song has a Disco/Funk sensibility to it reminiscent of both Paul Weller’s Style Council and Boy George’s Culture Club. That said, the Song has its own Style, beyond the past influences of both Artists, bringing House and Dream Pop into the Mix.
Boy George posted the Duo-Selfie above with the accompanying Tweet, saying:
“Nice recording sesh with the legend.”
Paul Weller stated in an interview with Uncut Magazine:
“It’s quite housey. George sings the first verse and then he comes in on the chorus. Our voices sound really good together.”
Stan Kybert, the Album’s Producer, spearheaded the Song, which is definitely different from the other Tracks on A Kind Revolution. Paul Weller explained to HMV.com:
“That was one of those things that came from Stan, I think he’d done a rough backing track and we just improvised on that and built the song as we went along.”
On the Deluxe Version of the Album, there is a Remix of the Song entitled “One Tear” (Club Cut) Remixed by Prof. Kybert.

This is awesome. I had a little idea that it was Boy George on the first verse vocals. He has such a powerful voice and Paul knew it was the right fit. Amazing pop artists. Soul and Respect
Thank you.
