Cold Specks, Top 5, Top 5 Music Obsessions of the Day

TOP 5 MUSIC OBSESSIONS OF THE DAY:

1. “Wild Card” :: Cold Specks

“I played it too long,
too long.”

It is so exciting to hear New Music from Al Spx of Cold Specks. Her Voice is Gorgeous, and the Music is this Engaging mix of Electronica, Trip Hop, and Soul. Take this one in, and Play it more than once, I’m sure you are going to Love it.

2. “Miss You” :: Carla Bruni

“I’ve been holding out so long,
I’ve been sleeping all alone,
lord, I miss you.
I’ve been hanging on the phone,
I’ve been sleeping all alone,
I want to kiss you.”

Carla Bruni has some Amazing Cover Songs, and this one is now one of them. This is one of my Favorite Songs from The Rolling Stones, too, which makes me even more excited by this Track.

3. “Silk” :: Wolf Alice

“My Love,
it kills me slowly,
slowly I could die.
And, when she sleeps she hears the blues,
sees shades of black and white.”

If you haven’t Listened to Wolf Alice before, what are you waiting for? They are Incredible, especially live. This is one of the Best Songs off of the Album My Love Is Cool. Look out for New Music from Wolf Alice coming soon.

4. “Dusty Trails” :: Lucius

“We been gone for such a long time,
that I’m almost afraid to go home.
A long road is a long,
dragged-out imagination,
where things can go wrong –
but we keep rolling on.”

My Favorite Lucius Track. Perfect for a long, or short, road trip. Perfect for this mid-June Sunny day. It makes me want to steal away for a few days and drive up the Coast, or through the desert, taking photographs and writing along the way.

5. “Writer in the Dark” :: Lorde

“Bet you rue the day you kissed a writer in the dark.”

I Love this Lyric!
