Nowhere’s on our way :: M5MO

My 5 Music Obsessions of the Day

You can stream the music obsessions each week here on Spotify

1. New Ways :: Daughter

“I’m trying to get out,
find a subtle way out,
not just cross myself out;
not just disappear.”

2. Bad Blood :: Bastille

“That these are the days that bind you together,
And these little things define you forever,

3. Dirty Paws :: Of Monsters & Men

“Her dirty paws and furry coat,
she ran down the forest slopes.
The forest of talking trees,
they used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
the sky wasn’t big enough for them all.”

4. Gods & Monsters :: Lana Del Rey

“Me and God we don’t get along,
so now I sing.”

5. Anthems for Doomed Youth :: The Libertines

“Life could be so handsome,
it’s all gonna be okay.”

  1. I can, and have, listened to “Bad Blood” on repeat. I don’t like the newer Of Monsters and Men as much as that album with “Dirty Paws” unfortunately but I do like it. God, I listened to that album SOOOO much! I like the whole…sound/aesthetic/something-or-other with this group of 5 you picked today.

    1. Thank you. I agree with you on the newer OMAM and the album with “Dirty Paws” on it – I LOVED that album, and have not yet truly come around to the newer one.

      “Bad Blood”, and that entire Bastille album, I love love love.
