Paul Matarelli from Lushcamp :: Keep Art Alive :: 10 Questions Project
1. What music (or other art form) inspires you when you create your art?
I am usually inspired walking in nature. I try to go for long walks daily to clear my head. Often times, this is when an idea or lyric will bubble up.
2. Long distance road trip: what three people do you invite along (fictional or non-fictional, dead or alive)?
For the sake of hilarious high jinks, I’d hit the road with the “Workaholics” crew.

3. What is your favorite breakfast cereal?
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
4. What is one thing that is hanging on your bedroom wall?
My guitar(s)
5. What smell/scent evokes strong memories for you?
Burning leaves
6. Coffee or tea?
Iced coffee, with half and half
7. What has been the most impactful compliment, or criticism, you have ever received?
I try not to put much value in complements and criticisms. One can inflate your ego, the other can crush it, and neither is a good thing. I try live by the phrase, “Ask forgiveness, not permission” because people will criticize you regardless of what you do, so be bold.
8. Three words that describe you?
Mischievous, fun, kind
9. What is/was your cartoon character crush?
Ariel, from The Little Mermaid

10. The world is ending in ten minutes and you get to listen to one, and only one, song: Which song?
“Let it Be” by The Beatles
Editor’s note: GREAT choice for the last song. Yes.

I had no idea what this was going to sound like and it kept surprising me. Hard to categorize which is cool….the sound and the lyrics sort of caught me off guard. Not sure how else to explain it.
