If you want love, then this is it. This is real life. It’s not perfect but it’s real.” ~ Jessie

The way I feel about Celine and Jesse, their story, and their walking and talking moments, is beyond words because I feel them so deep, down inside of myself. Maybe it is the timeline, the similarity in age, or the fact that I feel like I have lived pieces of their story, in all the good, bad and in-between of ways. I always – always always always – want more of them when the screen goes dark; I could watch them walk and listen to them talk, endlessly.

I will always relate more to Jessie, with each movie I realize that fact more and more. I’m not so sure what that says about me, and I’m not so certain if I like that fact, but it is how I feel, how I connect, and the way I see the films, their story, and in many ways, love. Even when things seem to fail, to fall, I am always wanting to write something more.

Richard Linklater, Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke have brought to life the most realistic set of stories about love that I have ever encountered, and I cannot help but hope that they to want to write, and create, something more, someday.

Well, it must have been one hell of a night we’re about to have.” ~ Celine
