But felt so lonely in your company :: songs and poetry

Keep Art Alive :: “The Veil” :: Art by Kelly Haigh Vows and Vines (by me) Within the confines of a happy ending, there are weather worn pages, underlined words, things that will be thrown in the air, into the fire, used as a slap stain lullaby The blemish of love leaves a mark, branded promises and self starvation, count the rib cage ladder, your default switch, she sure sings pretty, swallowing last Winter’s snow. She heard the melody rise and fade :: song of the day

Keep Art Alive :: “Can’t Disappear” :: Art by Stella Im Hultberg “They sat together in the park, as the evening sky grew dark, she looked at him, and he felt a spark tingle to his bones. ‘Twas then he felt alone, and wished that he’d gone straight, and watched out for a simple twist of fate.” Fate is something that invades my thoughts in the very early hours of morning. Everything is silent and still, nothing but the twists and turns of memory recall, and the faces that dance across the inside of each eyelid as you close them … Continue reading She heard the melody rise and fade :: song of the day
